The result however leaves St Mirren 2nd in the league on 15 points and their lead over Rangers increased to 3 points with Rangers losing today to Aberdeen.
The Buddies are four points off leaders Celtic.
Derek McInnes’ Kilmarnock remain eighth and are four points clear from the bottom spot.
