St Mirren 0 – 1 Rangers
ST. MIRREN | 0 | – | 1 | RANGERS |
|
Yesterday’s game was a close run affair with the strong wind having a big effect on the quality of play.
It was Rangers who took the lead with Cyriel Dessers’ 12th goal of the season in the 12th minute. While St Mirren had chances from Kwon Hyeok-kyu, Elvis Bwomono and Lewis Jamieson, the Buddies should have at least finished the 1st half on level terms.
The 2nd half was as close as the 1st with Rangers hitting the post from a Dressers shot, while St Mirren’s Bolton hit the bar with a header.
Rangers will be happy with their win, their third away win in the space of a week, while St Mirren can be happy with their performance but disappointed to have lost the game.
Saints, however, remain 5th in the league and in contention for a European place come the end of the season.
