St Mirren 2 – 1 Hearts

The game got off to a bad start for Hearts when in the 8th minute their defender Gerald Taylor misplaced his header and it sailed over Craig Gordon into the Hearts net.

Hearts had been playing well and in the 18th Minute Craig Halkett headed home from a Blair Spittal cross and Hearts were level 1 – 1.

The Jam Tarts continued to play well, however, on the 34th minute a long ball out of defence was headed on by Killian Phillips into the path of the on running Toyosi Oulsanya who wasted no time in firing the ball high into the Hearts net.

2 – 1 to St Mirren.

From this point on Hearts drifted out of the game and the 1st half finished 2 – 1.

The second half was dominated by St Mirren but despite shots from Olusanya, Van Veen, Idowu and Phillips the score remained 2 – 1 to St Mirren.

A result that sees them move up to 5th in the league.
